His Banner Over Me — Worship Arts Academy

Our Story

About Us

Raising up standards in worship arts across the nations.

His Banner Over Me is a global flag, movement, music, and worship arts academy. By the leading of the Holy spirit we equip, train and unite worshippers — from children to seasoned leaders — to lift the name of Jesus through artistic expression.

From the streets to the nations of the world, whether you are taking your first step or stewarding an assignment decades long, there is room for you here. It's time to get back to the living word of God and lead people to live Holy!

"We are equipping and uniting people globally. Jesus came to set the captives free."

Talina Richardson

FOUNDER & EDUCATOR

A devoted wife, mother of six, and minister with a heart for reaching people with the Gospel and helping others grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. She also serves through worship arts as a leader, instructor, author, and flag maker. For Talina, titles are not the focus—they simply help communicate some of the ways she has been called to serve. Her desire is to remain teachable, accountable, and available to God as she pours into others through the Word of God and testimony. As an instructor, she teaches beyond movement and technique, helping students understand the heart of a worshipper, biblical foundations of worship arts, spiritual discernment, integrity, unity, and keeping Jesus at the center. Through His Banner Over Me Academy, she helps equip and strengthen worship arts ministries locally and across the globe. She also has a heart for leaders who have spent years pouring into others and need a Christ-centered space to be refreshed, strengthened, and encouraged before returning to serve. Above all, Talina desires to see people grow in Christ and use their gifts for God’s glory, not competition.

Elba McBride

Educator & Author

I am a daughter of the Most High, a wife, and a mother of three beautiful children. Above every title, my identity is rooted in Christ and my heart is surrendered to His purpose. My heart and mission are to preserve and protect the true heart of worship and to see the Body of Christ as a united forefront. I believe as worshippers we are the frontline. Through flag ministry, I desire to equip and empower women, men, and children to raise a standard and lift a banner for the glory of God — not as performers, but as yielded worshippers who understand that the flag is simply a tool, an extension, and Jesus is the focus. Our worship shifts atmosphere for freedom, breakthrough, and healing.

YOUTH CHOREOGRAPHY INSTRUCTOR

A gifted young worshipper with a heart for her generation, she serves at His Banner Over Me Academy through dance, flags, and choreography. She has a natural ability to create movement and enjoys using her gifts to teach, encourage, and inspire other young people. Her heart is to see youth know Jesus for themselves, discover their identity in Christ, and become confident in who God created them to be. Through her role at the Academy, she encourages young worshippers to grow in their gifts while remembering that worship is always about more than movement—it begins with the living word of God. As she continues to learn and grow herself, she desires to be an example to her generation of what it looks like to use your gifts boldly, joyfully, and for the glory of God.
